As we head toward the launch of the RPG WorldBuilder app Kickstarter, we are continuing to develop and refine each element of this already awesome app. This week we are looking at the new, digital version of the Dungeon Architect Cards as well as the Dungeon Map Maker (specifically, complex 8-way tiles).

Work continues on the Android version of the RPG WorldBuilder app. On one side of this work coin we have the app itself. On the other side we have the Kickstarter project which will see the apps release. For the last couple of weeks I have been heavily invested in the planning of the Kickstarter, the rewards, and how to bring the app to backers. What we wanted to do was offer backers an opportunity to get the app early (in a beta state), get related (useful) rewards attached to each reward tier, and to give backers additional perks for backing the project.
As the project deals primarily with tabletop maps, we thought it would be nice to offer backers a plethora of additional rewards along with the beta version of the app. Here is what we have so far…
So where are we on things? The additional Kickstarter rewards are done. Maps are drawn and content is ready. We are finalizing the logistics of the Kickstarter project to make sure things run smoothly and that we have no hiccups in order to deliver what we promise to backers by the delivery date given. On the app end, we are finalizing the basic elements of the base app and we are polishing and finalizing already created content while weeding out bugs. Our goal is to create a Kickstarter project that gives backers a ton of content for a little money. As things move to finality, we will be contacting those who have signed up on the landing page. We will continue our dev blog and the transparency that all of our previous backers have come to expect in our projects. We hope you will join us as we release the RPG WorldBuilder! |
